Nils Kjellegaard Jensen’s practice areas include company law, general business and commercial law, M&A, and he often advices German clients in Danish/German legal matters (agency and distributorship agreements, litigation, company-set-ups etc.). In corporate law matters, he represents and assists various international groups with Danish Holdco’s and subsidiaries.

Nils has held incumbencies in Boards of Danish corporations – often with German owners.

In addition, Nils is member of Deutsch-Nordische Juristenvereinigung e.V., where he often gives lectures, and of Danish-German Industry and Commerce Club.

Nils has a “master of laws” degree (LL.M.) from Frankfurt University, and has studied at the law faculty in Hamburg and been on a 1-year secondment at a major German law firm in Stuttgart and Berlin.

From time to time, he serves as arbitrator in international arbitration court disputes (e.g. under ICC).

Besides Danish, Nils speaks and writes fluently in English and German.

Ilona Jensen

Ilona has been partner in Prieks & Partners, Riga, Latvia, since 1993, in which year she passed the Latvian Bar exam. During her law studies at the State University of Latvia, she studied one year at the University of Oslo, Norway, and tended seminars at Uppsala University (Sweden), Aalborg Business College (Denmark) and Turku Law School (Finland).

For a 2 year term after passing the Bar exam, Ilona also served as Privatisation Committee member by appointment of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Ministry of Economic Reforms. Concurrently, she assisted the Parliamentary Legislation Committee with translations of EC-Directives on harmonisation of Latvian company law. Ilona has given lectures at the Riga Business School on international law of commerce.

In 1998, Ilona passed the 2nd Bar exam (for sworn attorney-at-law, or “zverinata advokate”), and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Latvia until and including 2021. Effective as of 2022, she deposited her admission.

Furthermore, she was licensed Securities Consultant by the Ministry of Finance of Latvia, and members of Association of Latvian Stock Exchange.

She has been appointed as authorized representative in Denmark of the Riga Region Investment Council, which his the major governmental investment and business co-operation promotion agency.

Throughout her more than 20 years´ professional experience Ilona has advised numerous local and international business clients from USA, Canada, EU, Russia and Scandinavia in the field of corporate and commercial law, production and sales establishments, privatisations, public tenders, real property and financing and joint ventures in Latvia.

Ilona speaks, in order of proficiency, Latvian, English, Russian, and is familiar with Danish.

Ilona is not practising locally in Denmark.
